The bold and the bashful Bold is a person who is very brave and audacious, is a kind of person who may be willing to risk shame of rejection in social situations. A bold person is comfortable with acquaintances and stranger, he or her is confident in approaching people and able to engage in casual conversation. But basful is the opposite of bold, this is a kind of person that sometimes is difficult to comunicate their though, and this is a big problem because shyness can be a serious obstacle to social and professional grouth, shyness is perceived as a problem that needs to be overcome.

It was so big that I needed a truck to take it home.  The flu spread so quickly that 50 percent of Manhattanties were sick by the end of the week. The movie was so scared that I had nightmare. The test was so hard that I need study  more. The tv show was so funny.

According to English Dictionary, personality can be defined as ‘a set of qualities that makes a person distinct from another’. At the same time, bashful can be as ‘shy; not liking to be noticed; socially timid’. On the other hand, Bold can be defined as ‘showing a willingness to take risks; confident and courageous’. All people around the world are different from each other, they have different personalities, they think differently, etc. At the moment we are going to meet new people, we need to know it, that everybody is different. We need to know how to treat them in a different way, because they can get hurt with our behavior.

Feng Shui is considered as an ancient art and it was discovered over 3,000 years ago. I was reading some articles  about it, and it said that in Chinese culture, wind and water are associated. Let see this: If I say "It was so cold today", I have a simple sentence, but if I add "that we couldn't go out" I have an adverb clause of result. As simple as that! In simple words an adverb clause of result is a simple clause that point out the consequences that brings "the action" we are talking about. I have to say I use this grammar point when talking, but I never thought I was using "Adverb clauses of result". In addition, I did it wrong in the midterm, but at least now I know what the professor was talking about on it.

  I n this entry I'll talk about the advantages and disadvantages of being shy or Bold.   I don't really see any advantage of being shy. However, there are a lot disadvantages. When you are shy you don't meet many people, you don't show your talents or skills, because of this you can lose the chance of getting good jobs or scholarships.   On the other hand, when you're bold you can easily show off, what helps you to get good jobs, scholarships and meet a lot of interesting people.   When comparing this two personalities I do not want to point out that being shy is bad, I believe bashful people should try to let the shyness aside to live freely though.    I have to admit that i never had heard about The Tipping Point before. However, since the professor made some examples, i understood its meaning. The Tipping Point is the most important moment in somebody's life.  A Tipping Point of The Dominican Republic , i would say was : Coup d 'État of President Juan Bosch.      In my personal opinion, Juan Bosch was the best president the Dominican Republic has ever had. And of course there are millions of reasons why, starting with his honesty and simple manners, Juan Bosch created one of the most progressive Constitution in 1963.   I know for sure that if President Juan Bosch would not had been overthrown our nation would had been placed in a very good position in all fields.

Honesty can be defined as ''the act, quality, or condition of being honest'' (by English Dictionary). Honest, at the same time, can be defined as ''truthful and sincere''. Even though the meaning of those words are completely clear, people think that it is better to tell a false statement than telling the truth. In our class we discussed the reasons why people lie. Here there are some of them. Peple lie because they want to avoid punishment. This reason is common in kids, they used to lie when they did something wrong and they don't want to get punished. People lie to get reward that they could not get. People lie to be admire. People tell stories that are no true, just to make people think that their life are wonderful, to get fans or just to feel better than others. People also lie to get benefit, o they lie to control people. In a world where lying is everywhere, honesty was, is and will be the best policy.

This is the first time I dig information about what it is Feng Shui since I never heard about it. Feng Shui, as is described in the book, is the ancient Chinese art or practice of arranging the environment in order to achieve harmony in that place.  Feng Shui is translated to English as Wind- Water, and implementing Feng Shui in your house or environment  is easy if you follow these tips. Throw away everything you don't need or love in your house and this will feel like a therapy. Try to have the five  Feng Shui elements in your home. Always be aware and feel the energy from Feng Shui around your home or environment.

A tipping point, as the professor said, is an important moment on somebody's life or in a country life, it could be when you get married or when you graduate. Having a bold personality implies courage, determination and confident to speak to others. They are not reticent at all and being extrovert or outgoing could be consider as a positive attribution in a person. Bashful, on the other hand, seems to be a socially disadvantage characteristic in a person for some reasons like lacking of social skills, being treated as inferior towards extroverts, and people assuming they are not ''good enough'' to make a specific work project.  To me, this is a complex subject,  but as long as everyone is treated like equal, with no differences, we can make the world a better place with extrovert and introvert people living in it.

Good evening!  This is what I think about bashful people as well. The word bashful sometimes describes a person who is shy but friendly. Being like that is not a good quality in some aspects. Probably, I would not use bashful to describe a quite reserved classmate with who I have little contact; shy would fit better. However, bashful is a perfect description for my good friend who unfortunately becomes reticent whenever she tries to talk to unknown people.
