Hi everyone! I want to talk about Internet addition.             One of the problems that today's society has had to face are additions to social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, whatsapp and Messanger etc. Have change our lives especially young people. The first objective of social networks is to keep people involved in a virtual world creating a habit difficult to leave and this hurts first of all, personal relationship and families.

Internet addiction!

     I like this topic because it is psychologically or physically habit-forming (especially internet) craving or wanting something. when somebody surfs on the internet from 8 to 10 hours a day is probably a college student, They become addicted to the Internet, They can’t get through the day without being online, googling, downloading music, checking their E-mail, blogging, Facebook or sending Messages to their friends.      In my opinion, what I consider is that there are worse addictions than Internet such as cell Phone Junkies, television, gambling, alcohol, nicotine, drugs, sex, shopping, travel, and video games, which are more harmful.

Honesty Is the Best Policy In our second unit we were talking about honesty, something very important for us personally and professionally. Honesty for me is the art of being real with those people who give you confidence and who trust in that they can count on you no matter what. This is why being honest should be our best dress to wear. Although many are confused with the idea of ​​being honest and being rude, they say they’re telling the truth when it’s totally the opposite. Many disguise themselves as being honest to hurt others with their misplaced comments. That is why here I leave you this video in which you can highlight if is honesty always the best policy. Internet and Others Additions In our first unit we were talking about The Internet and other additions. In this class we were able to highlight different points of view of which additions are affecting our youth and our society. Today our most common addiction is visibly the internet. Web pages and different social networks have been empowered by our free days, our relationships, our friendships. There are no longer long talks, much less the love of nature, we are focused on which update will be new for our phone and how much money we should save to buy the next one. That is basically, without the internet we can't live anymore. Without being all day glued to the computer and the phone feels like we ran out of life. It is perhaps funny to say it, but when you think about it you realize that you are really involved in this labyrinth with no way out. Hi. Before talking about internet addiction, let talk about the advantages of it. Internet, nowadays, is a big tools for helping people by giving the information they are looking for, also helping them to communicate with family, friends that are not near them. But, those advantages become disadvantages at the time you overuse it. The overuse of it, become an addiction. When we talk about internet addiction, people think that we are just talking about young people, but not. Nowadays many, and many, adults are becoming addicted too. These days is normal when you go to a party, or even a meeting, see people chatting or surfing on internet. Not just teenagers and adults are presenting with this kind of addiction, also kids, are dealing with it too. Mothers, give their phones to their kids, just to make them be quiet . When the teacher asked that question to all of us students,a million of thoughts came to my mind, because honesty is not only when you say the truth to others, it is also being true to yourself and the impact you represent to others thanks to that value. I searched the definition of honesty and  some of the synonyms I could find were: moral greatness, honour, integrity, rectitude and some other great values we have to use on our everyday lives. Being Honest it's really important, because of this we define ourselves, makes us better and represent an example to our society.  

Honesty refers to facet of moral  character and connotes positive and virtous attributes such as integraty etc. 

  Honesty is to give everyone what he or she deserves including myself, it is to be always fair, committed with the truth, trustable and sinceer.Sometimes honesty represents  a complex thing.  Being honest entails alot of apects, nevertheless in our society there are still people with this trait.  According to Benjamin Franklin ¨ Honesty is the best policy" According to  William Shakeasper  "no legacy is so rich as honesty". According to Thomas Jefferson  "Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom "  In the Dominican Society, Politicians are lacking of honesty, most of them are known as dishonest humans beings. I still hope this half island can continue growing in spite of the  corruption.

   Hi everyone!  The topic internet and other addictions really called my attention due to the fact that almost everybody in our society is addicted to the internet, but what does the word addiction mean ?  An addiction is an activity that generates you pleasure, however you are unable to handle it. It is bassically when you love doing something too much and you cannot stop doing it.  Nowadays, people are neglecting their duties because of being surfing and checking social networking on the internet. To sum up my recommendation will be  enjoy technology without disregarding your duties.

I understand that this is true, honesty is the best policy. I would be embarrassed if I lied to sb about sth and then they discovered that I lied... Because people have to have a word. If you don't have a word, people won't believe anything you say ... People won't listen to you and most importantly people won't respect you... If you know or feel you won't comply what you're promising, don't give your word... I think honesty is one of the best qualities of a human being...

Nowadays it is not strange to see how every day there are more and more people addicted to the internet, they are immersed in the network and alien to reality. Hey Guys! My name is Louceydi Ramos, I'm 26 years old and currently full time Modern Languages student at UASD.  I used to work as a customer service agent, but I decided to stop working and devote my time to studying, and until now, it has been the best decision. Also, we can note that in a meeting or an appointment each person is looking at their cellphones, computers, and other devices. That’s why the relationships are not working as they expect. On the other hand, there are another addictions, such as drugs, alcohol, and shopping. Most of the people don’t control themselves to stop doing what they think is impossible. However, if a person wants to change his or her behavior, there is a way to do it. For me, addition,  is an abuse of something that you know is bad for you, and you  can  not stop doing. There are differents types of additions : drugs,social media, shopping, sex, alcohol, gambling,cell phone use,  etc. The problem  with these  additions comes when start to interfere with your daily lifestyle. I thinl internet addiction is very common in our days... Nevertheless people often don't realize they have this condition and just ignore it and only when they begin to develop eyestrain or any other symptom they start to think that they might be spending too much time on the the computer... I think internet addiction is a vice like cigarettes or alcohol that must be treated in order to avoid getting an eyes illness or psicological condition.

Hello everyone! My name is Franklin Ramirez and I'm studying languages major English. Let's talk a little bit about myself. I was born in Rancho Arriba, Ocoa on May 22nd, 1993. I lived with my parents until I was 19 so, then I moved to Santo Domingo to enroll the University where I currently live and study.
